About the Building

This institutional building in dark brick has asymmetrical windows, stepped windows on the first floor, and rows of brick outlining the window spaces.

Julia Morgan designed this building for the Occidental Board Presbyterian Mission, which rescued girls from slavery and prostitution.

A closer look reveals elegant Morgan touches such as rectangular brackets at the entry and curved ironwork on the front door windows.

Today, "Cameron House is a Chinatown-based multi-service agency serving Asian communities in the San Francisco Bay Area."
